Join Aosta Valley Holistic for a women-only Christmas yoga retreat near Aosta, combining daily yoga and meditation with winter walks, local food and wine, and the festive atmosphere of the Italian Alps.
Come on your own, bring a friend or share these days with your mother or daughter. You can look forward to a warm local welcome and a thoughtfully hosted retreat, with time for both shared experiences and yourself. No skiing is required.
Daily yoga, meditation and time for yourself
Our theme, Love & Compassion, invites you to explore kindness towards yourself and others as the festive season approaches.
Morning yoga and meditation will help you awaken, stretch and begin the day with intention. In the evening, restorative practices offer time to release tension and settle after our outdoor adventures.
Alongside two daily sessions, there will be opportunities for reflection, conversation and quiet rest. Whether you are new to yoga or already practise regularly, you are welcome to join at your own pace.
Thursday: winter walking or snowshoeing in Pila
We will explore Pila’s mountain landscape on a guided walk through evergreen forest, using snowshoes if snow conditions allow. Expect fresh alpine air, beautiful scenery and time to enjoy the surroundings together.
There will also be the opportunity to have lunch at La Stella di Pila, the panoramic mountain restaurant at 2,723 metres. On a clear day, the views stretch across the great Alpine peaks, including Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Grand Combin—a memorable setting for a mountain lunch.
Our walking route, snowshoeing and visit to La Stella will depend on weather, snow conditions and lift operation. The lift pass to La Stella and lunch are not included in the price (the cost is approx. €39 return trip + lunch)
Friday: Aosta Christmas market, culture and shopping
Discover the festive charm of Aosta’s Marché Vert Noël Christmas market, with wooden chalets, regional flavours and locally crafted gifts.
We will begin with a short introduction to Aosta’s historic centre and Roman heritage, followed by free time to explore independently. Browse Christmas decorations, local cheese and charcuterie, artisan products and alpine-inspired natural cosmetics, or find a café and enjoy watching the town go by.
There is time to do a little Christmas shopping, choose gifts for loved ones or simply enjoy the lights and atmosphere.
Saturday: Cogne, Lillaz and Aosta Valley wine tasting
Our Saturday outing takes us to Cogne and the village of Lillaz, in the Gran Paradiso National Park area.
A short winter walk offers a chance to appreciate this beautiful mountain setting at a gentle pace. The route will be chosen to suit the weather and ground conditions.
We will finish our outing with a wine tasting at a local vineyard, discovering the wines of the Aosta Valley and the stories behind their production. After our delicious dinner, we will all come together for our closing ceremony.
Optional skiing at Pila Ski Resort
If you would like to include skiing in your stay, you can choose time on the slopes as an alternative to a group outing.
A complimentary hotel shuttle is planned each morning to the Aosta–Pila gondola, with collection in the afternoon. We can help organise ski equipment hire at the bottom of the gondola, making it convenient to head up to the resort.
Skiing is entirely optional and subject to resort opening and snow conditions. Ski passes and equipment hire are additional.
Optional thermal spa visit at QC Terme Pré-Saint-Didier
For an extra treat, we can help arrange a transfer to QC Terme Pré-Saint-Didier.
Enjoy warm outdoor thermal pools, panoramic sauna chalets and relaxation spaces with views towards the Mont Blanc massif. It is a lovely opportunity to spend an unhurried afternoon enjoying warmth, mountain scenery and time to yourself.
The spa visit is an optional alternative to a scheduled outing and requires advance booking. Admission and transfer costs will be confirmed separately.

What is not included:
flights and airport transfers
Airport transfer from/to Milan Malpensa (MXP) to Hotel in Pila, leaving at 13.00 pm from Malpensa and at 10.00 am from Hotel on departure day. We have limited places available. On departure day we work with the local transfer company, departure from Aosta at 11.00 am arriving to Milan Malpensa at 13.00 pm.
We offer the transfer at a discounted price of 80 Euro return. The transfer from Pila to bus station on departure day is free of charge.
